November Update...

As it is time to write another Newsletter, there are many things to bring up and choosing the right topics become top priority. These past few months have been somewhat trying in regards to learning to practice patience and exercising restraint when dealing with the financial entities that we have been dealing with. The most difficult part for all of us is this painfully slow process that seems not to be going anywhere, but at the same time, progress is made every day and this is the message of this month's newsletter.

A number of jobs have been approved and funds made available for construction to begin on some specific areas of the building, including some of the condominiums, villas and lofts. We have heard comments that the work was only being done on the hotel portion of the project; this is definitely not the case. Fortunately, we were able to see some progress on the outside of the building visible from the toll road. The stonework continues on the front of the building, as previously mentioned and a larger portion of the final stone contract was approved, so we will see that work continue on through the rest of the year.

Work on the courtyard will begin shortly; the plan is to complete the courtyard level as completely as possible. This will help will a solid visual queue as to the "feel" of the completed project. The pavers will be laid, the restrooms and showers will be finished, the planter boxes filled and even water in the courtyard pool is scheduled to be completed soon. Of all of the proposed projects, this courtyard level will have the greatest impact on the sense that the project is moving forward.

Exterior work will begin in the lower levels of THEHOEL, closing the building completely and giving a more finished look at the courtyard level. Also, work on the villas will be started about the same time, the idea is to finish the entire exterior of the building and get things ready for when the "trades" get back on the job, it will only be for details of the interiors. As this work begins and is carried through the rest of the year, we will try to get as many photos as possible for all of you to see.

We have had a number of reservation holders visiting the job site recently and to most everyone's surprise, much more progress has been made than they realized.

As is the case with the situation of arranging the funds for the completion of the project and the delivery of the condominiums, much progress has been made with our construction lender. It is still difficult to give hard dates and facts on completion, but each day gets us a bit closer. We have tried to keep all of you somewhat informed on where the project stands each month and with each phone or visit from a reservation holder, more and more people are seeing for themselves on the forward progress that has been made over time.
