December Update...

As we wind down into December, Christmas is right around the corner and New Years follows closely behind. It has been somewhat of a difficult year, we have all seen many changes in our personal lives and some in their professional areas. There seems to be a level of fear and uncertainty in most everyone's lives and it begins to "wear" on you. The other side of the coin, especially at this time of year is to look at the "good" things in our lives, the things that we are most grateful for. For us, this has been the main purpose of these newsletters, to introduce another perspective to what some may call a "bad" situation. I am well aware that most of you look to this newsletter, either hoping for some "good" news or waiting to hear that the project has failed. For me, it will always be a report of the positive.

This year the Christmas tree may not be full of presents, but that's OK. Today, we are here on this beautiful Baja coast with smiles on our faces, fighting everyday for a solution to this current situation. We have had a number of visitors in the past few weeks and the common theme that we have seen is a level of acceptance over the circumstances in each one's life. It seems that people have stopped resisting the changes that are happening in their lives at this time and found a way to focus on the good they can find. Adopting this attitude into our situation has helped all of us stay focused on the job that needs to be done, rather than being "bogged" down with negativity and distractions. There is much work that needs to be done and giving in to rumors and conjecture that are never positive is not the way to find a successful conclusion to a sometimes difficult situation.

Rather than reporting on some of the progress on the building and the small increase in business in the area, this newsletter has only one real message: We will find a way to complete our projects, with the help our lenders; there will be a positive conclusion to this story. There is much activity behind the scenes on many levels regarding financing or funding for completion, we will see the results of this activity shortly. We have stayed positive and held our belief in the projects through all of this and that belief will be what carries us to the end. I encourage all of you to not give into the negative and find the strength to change your attitude when the negativity seems to be creeping in. This is our Christmas wish for all of you and us. Enjoy what is important to you this Holiday Season; find a way not to be overcome with "stuff". There will be much more time to report on progress, but for now, we wish you and your families Happy Holidays.
